Installing the Networker Client Software - Windows 32 bit

Important: Do not uninstall the existing Networker client. The new client install uses information from the previous client.

If the Networker client has never been installed, proceed as described below.

Download Networker Client Software - Windows 32 bit lgtoclnt-9.2.1.1-x86.msi.

Installing the new client
  • Run the lgtoclnt-9.2.1.1-x86.msi installer
  • Accept License Agreement.  Next
  • Select Configure the Windows Firewall.  Next
  • Do not install Language Packs. Do not install Networker License Manager.  Next
  • Accept default installation path.  Next
  • Select Install
  • For systems with Networker previously installed, you will see a message "Some files that need to be updated are currently in use". Select "Close the applications and attempt to restart them"
  • Select OK
  • Select Finish

IMPORTANT: Once the client install is complete, open Windows Services and find the Networker Remote Exec Service. If the service is not running, start it manually. If you are unable to start the service manually, a reboot will be required.

Networker User Program

  • Open the Networker User program
  • If prompted for the Default server -
    • If you have nsrhost.uwo.ca or hava2.its.uwo.ca as the Default server, change this to hava2.its.uwo.pri and save
    • Otherwise, enter hava2.its.uwo.pri as the Default server and save.
  • If you have existing backup data, check that your existing backup structure is in place.
